Web Summit is scheduled for 9–12 November 2026 in Lisbon. The technology conference overlaps CIIE in Shanghai and follows SEMA week in Las Vegas, adding another demanding date to the late-year business-events calendar.
Recent editions have drawn around 70,000 attendees. Web Summit is not a classic trade fair, but it functions as a media and investor hall, and exhibitors treat the event much like a show. Startups, technology companies and venture participants use the format for meetings and visibility.
Content-led events compete for the same travelers
Lisbon’s November week now competes with Dubai and Shanghai for senior technology decision-makers and the same C-suite travel budget. The overlap with CIIE also creates a practical choice for companies deciding where to send executives, sales teams and media staff.
Trade-show organizers are watching Web Summit because its content-first model is influencing how association expos sell conference passes. The event shows how conferences, exhibitions and investor programming can sit close together without becoming a conventional trade fair.
XPO Times readers can track Web Summit alongside international trade shows, conferences and summits through the event calendar.
